The pandemic has largely paused the travel missing on the coveted beach vacation. Be it a calm stretch of sand, or a family-friendly sea-facing resort, or vanquishing the waves, there are plethora of options out there to suit every type of traveller. Here are some of the world’s best beaches you cannot wait to return to or visit.

Sea and oceans can be soothing, calm, and for it is even an addiction but in a good way. Beaches are one of the best holiday destinations for those who love sea, water, and the vision of the tropics.

Ocean and salty water are not just it, but it is an inspiration and sometimes also a way of meditations. Many of us even develop a special relationship with the sea. Beaches are about sipping coconut drinks, reading a book in a palm’s shadow, relaxing on a hammock, discovering underwater life, surfing, attempting new water sports, listening closely to the ocean or the sea and more.

Achill Island: Mayo, Ireland

Bells Beach, Australia

Famous for its world-renowned Easter Surfing Classic and views.

Durdle Door, England

Most famous stone arch anywhere in the world. It was created when the sea pierced through the Portland limestone around 10,000 years ago. From camping to rock-pooling, walking to coasteering, photography to nature walks, or to just enjoy the stunning views.

Koekohe Beach, New Zealand

A New Zealand beach famed for its Moeraki boulders has been named one of the fifty best in the world.

Shipwreck Cove, Greece

It is the most famous beach of Zakynthos lying on the western side of the Ionian island, close to Anafotiria village. The Shipwreck is one of the most photographed sights in Greece and considered as one of the most beautiful beaches in Greece.

Silver Sands State Park, Milford, Connecticut

Popular for sandy beaches, boardwalks, seashells, and shore birds. Over a half mile of shoreline and three quarters of a mile of all-weather boardwalk make this a popular four-season waterfront destination.

Best time to visit: Jan to April and Sep to Dec.No crossing to the Island is allowed May 1 through September 9 when the island is managed as a Natural Area Preserve for nesting birds.

The Lofoten Islands: Norway

Lofoten is known for excellent fishing, nature attractions such as the northern lights and the midnight sun, and small villages off the beaten track. Kayak between the islands, go fishing for the catch of your life, or look for sea eagles soaring in the sky.

Best time to visit: Any time outside of December and January, when the sun doesn’t rise at all.

Nearest Airport: Svolvær Airport, Helle (a regional airport serving the town of Svolvær in Vågan Municipality in Nordland county, Norway)

Tunnels Beach, Kauai, Hawaii

Tunnels is a favorite surfing, winds surfing and kite surfing beach. Lava tubes form the many underwater caverns give Tunnels it’s name as well as a magical underwater world to explore. Don’t miss the spectacular sunset from this North Shore beach. Parking for this beach is best at Haena Beach Park.

Whitehaven Beach, Australia
